Festival Tent ‘Livability’
It’s important when shopping for a festival tent to choose one that suits your camping needs. If your going to be staying around the tent for much of the time at the festival then you need to make sure you nhave enough space to accommodate you and your gear comfortably, whilst allowing space to actually live in it. Answer these questions:
1. How many people does the tent need to sleep?
2. Will it be a sociable tent? Or a haven for relaxing?
3. What is your budget? Can you share the costs and get a bigger tent with friends?
4. Will you need space for cooking, a porch for wet gear, a table or anything else?
Buy the right festival tent for you, many people opt for cheap festival tents, which make sense if you’re going to be partying and are at risk of breaking-it, other look for something more comfortable and re-usable options – which, I must say makes more environmental sense. It’s still possible to buy good quality festival tents at reasonable prices but make sure it’s the right one for you!
Partying Festival Tents
Will your tent be the partying tent? Make sure you don’t have anything breakable laying around the floor or the tent or outside. Also make sure you buy an appropriate festival tent, considering that your ‘guests’ to your ‘party’ might need a space to sit.
Get a Good Nights Sleep
Forgetting the principal that all things are better after a good nights sleep could put you in a seriously drab mood for the remainder of the festival. Make sure you prepare and buy a camp mat, warm sleeping bag and pillow. Camp chairs are always a good idea – lightweight and keep your bum off the wet ground.
Festival Clothing
As well as this do you have appropriate footwear for a festival: wellington boots, walking boots or flip flops? These are popular choices with festival goers. You can never go wrong if you take a good pair of hard-wearing waterproof trousers and a lightweight waterproof jacket – you will be the envy of the crowd when it rains (and I guarantee it will!).
More tent advice and camping equipment should be sought before you make any sort of purchase but we hope this has helped to prompt a few questions in your mind!
